She had little recollections of anything that happened during those short periods where she was awake. It was like constantly shifting from dream to dream, and eventually you lost semblance of what was real and what was reality. But as she woke now, there was a distinct dull throbbing in her head that indicated to her that THIS round was definitely reality. She nearly doubted that reasoning however when her ruby eyes fell upon Asuma sitting next to her bed.
Asuma was here...? He was back. He was safe. Kurenai suddenly remembered how worried she'd been...
